HipChat – Group chat for teams App Reviews

This app is great when it works, but often times for no reason will be unable to connect to the servers. When that happens the only solution seems to be to sign out, kill the app, then re launch it and sign in once again. Very frustrating.

So looks like the new version doesnt load existing rooms properly because whenever I open a new room the page is just blank.. :/

Who made this app! UI is confusing as hell . Bridging web interface with app interface . No mean to find registered friend or no emoticons... worthless as it is!

Havent crash yet, could be better if the home screen icon will shows the correct number of pending message

When are you going to add Background App Refresh support so that we actually get messages and the app doesnt have to reload every time I open it?

Very useful if your team is on HipChat.

The app works OK but the design is really poor. For example: text is too small, user names take too much space and there are visual glitches (esp. when reloading data). Slack has a lot better app in that regard, take some inspiration from it. The Mac app is a lot better IMHO. Please catch up with it.

New update is horrible, only half the screen works 1/5 until fixed

The new design is pretty good. It does what it says, reliably. Has some cool features that other chat apps do not. I like the info tabs in the chat, where you can see all files / links. I do have a problem with the new chat on desktop... Sometimes I cant click stuff.

App is quite unusable. I never get notifications, and there are so many networking problems.

Its great to be in touch with the team while afk and receive notifications on mentions.

The mobile app is useless as when you open the app, you get zero indication of what rooms have unread or new messages. You have to open each room to look for unread messages. Please fix!

I love HipChat, but this app needs help. I get notified that theres unread messages, but when I launch the app, Im supposed to guess where they are? Would be helpful to sign in to multiple HipChat teams simultaneously as well.

HipChat does not do notifications as expected. Slack, Hangouts and many others perform notifications properly. Switching to Slack!

Wow! Huge performance enhancements indeed. Its at least twice as fast now. The larger text is much appreciated.

The app is basically unusable with the broken notifications. Whats the point of having a mobile app when every time others send me a message I only got notification via email?

Useless for now. Reinstall didnt fix the issue.

Every time I enter a room it crashes now, so this app is totally worthless to me until they fix it.

Cant even enter the room.
